Oh what a new years day...

The sun is illuminating the house in a way that makes me forget its only 16 degrees... I realy think about the park! I am happy that the sun decided the clouds wouldnt get in its way today. I feel a bit of fresh symbolism has risen:)
This year as a mindset of sorts... I am going to deepen my understanding of cause and effect. "What causes _______? And what effect does that have on the people, places, things associated with it?"
I recently had a back and forth about equal rights concerning marriage. Im in opposition... why? Well, because as a Christian I believe that same sex relationships are wrong. Why as a Christian? Because I believe that the Bible speaks truth. I also feel that the point of sex is 2 fold... intimacy and reproduction... but then there is that little fact that some women or men cannot have children. And there is birth control, you know, what about men and women who are married but use birth control? Do I think thats wrong? Well, no. I guess my point is that I believe what I believe, but that makes for a weak case.
the person I conversed with made a strong point about things they endure because of thier preferences. I think same sex relationships are wrong, but that does not give me, or anyone else the right to judge them or hinder them. If what they do is wrong in Gods eyes... He is the only judge with merrit... they will endure concequences for thier choices. Just as anyone will for the wrong things they have done. For all Christians who are offended by same sex relationships, I ask you to search yourself... would you put the same offence to any sin? say, coveting? or a lie? How about people who have not accepted Jesus? Those people do not love the Lord. Jesus said that was the most important comandment along with this one...

love your nieghbor as yourself.

Let us not forget that when we(Christ followers) put our oppinions and beliefs into public viewing we are essentially speaking on behalf of the whole! That is how it is viewed! You might even say we can be persieved to be speaking on behalf of Christ when we place our faith into our oppinions. If you have a view that is supported by the scriptures, please be sure that in expressing your view (even if suported by scripture) you do not bring shame to our Lords name. It is essentially blasphemy.

I welcome many oppinions from all sides of this coin to comment here. I want to see all sides, all arguments. I beg for scripture that might support either sides case. Make sure you are respectful of me and others who comment and read this, or I will just delete the comments any way. So if being heard is what you wish... be respectful!
