I have reached a realization today...Lilly is a small child of 3, but the things she says and the way she behaves and the look behind her eyes tells me her thoughts are so much older than 3. She pieces things together, she rationalizes and she articulates things so maturely.
Tonight I walked to the store with her and we talked all the way there and back. We got daddy a pop and she kept saying "daddy will be so happy when I give him his pop! Wont he mommy? He will be happy I helped you get his pop" it was so cute how excited she was to please her daddy. We got closer to home and she said "its dark mommy" then she looked around and said "its dark because luna is sleeping isnt she mommy?" I told her luna was just hidding behind all the clouds and she said "will we ever see luna again? ever ever?" I told her "of course! we just have to wait for the clouds to go away and there shell be". Then a car came over the hill and she saw the lights and she said "mommy! theres lights! from a car. cars live on the road and we have to be careful in the road or we might get runned over. (short pause) and that wouldnt be awesome would it? and the pop might get runned over too."
This is just one of many, many conversations Lilly and I have had and I dont know if its just me, but even though its obviouse im talking with a child, I think she is very grown up for barely 3, is it just me? I so loved it when she said "and that wouldnt be awesome" instead of saying sad or bad... this convo was realy acurate to what all she said, vocab and all...
Lilly is a shy aggressor, she is bashful around those she does not know well, but shes an agressive little booger at home. Today she was screaming about something and Sarah asked her why she was screaming and I told sarah it was because lilly is a boob... Lilly walked up to me and screamed " hu-uhhh, im not a boob, im a booger! I couldnt stiffle my giggles!
I know any of my girls can be or do anything they set thier minds to! They are so talented and unique... I was so inspired when I read this article on superforest about a 16 yr old boy who started a school that is now helping 800 kids!!! you can read it here. Have a super night ya'll... gotta git some sleep!
