Farmaid rocked! and lotsa other stuff too!!!

Honestly, I have no idea where to begin. I have about 4 days of things in my head and they all want out, but i dont have 4 hours to let it all out... so this will likely end up a manic mess, but here goes anyway... First, I want to say that I was compelled to pay 10.89 for a 12 oz bag of raw pecans. why you may ask? because the only store I trust to buy meat from had it. Now let me splain... this is a local store, not a chain and as often as possible, they buy local, so they tend to have the best produce and meat in town. even though they are more pricey, I refuse to buy meat anywhere else, and i like to get my produce there if im not getting it from the farmers market. I figure, if my $= my vote, then my $10 purchase tells the store im glad they have decided to dable in stocking raw food(they have never had these before). I was also glad to tell the cashier all about it when she commented on the price... she thought it was a good way to see it and had never thought of it that way before... this store is also one of few in town that carries 7th generation TP... I buy it there... wonder if I can get people to increase the demand for other 7th generation products as I love what they are...

OK, well there is also the whole family stuff...I am both incouraged and discouraged...I am realizing how self focused I am, but seeing it is good! At least now I know what im looking at! The first step is knowing there is a problem... My oldest sis and I went to farmaid this weekend... it was great realy... lots of emotions and stress... but lots of fun too!

Farmaid was realy great! We visited our brother TJ... and turned him into a hooper...

We hooped in the parking lot with complete starngers and had a blast!!!

and did some meditation and yoga to go in front of the venue! We ate organic corn dogs... the best corndogs eva!!! Willie Nelsons son is freaking super!! So awesome!!! we saw many, many awesome things...

I fell in love... true love at first sight!!! Never felt anything like it... the first time I saw it...it was like the heavens opened, like my eyes were opened to a new plain of thought, like life again had endless possibilities! Honestly... love @ first sight!!!

Jason Mraz sang "spirit in the sky". He sang it beautifully, I realy want a copy of him singing it.
This song has such depth for me... I knew this guy casualy, but i knew him for a long time. He suffered long term kidney problems and we knew it would eventualy kill him... toward the end, he was realy weak and in lots of pain, he couldnt go anywhere and I asked him if he wanted me to bring a movie over to just sit and watch it with him... he seemed realy pleased with the idea... I let nearly 2 weeks pass and then he died and I was so regretful... a few days later i attended his funeral with Josh and that was the song Roger had asked them to play at his funeral... I cry every time I hear that song....

Dave mathews was realy good...
(I am not extremely familiar, but can forsee myself becoming a big fan). I was courting the recycle and compostables bins durring john meloncamp.

I was rewarded with a great find while picking up paper off the ground... I found a "farmers kick ass" pin...(souvenier!) I was super impressed with Neil young... I had never heard him before ever, but found that I enjoyed thouroughly! Thank you Neil Young it was great!!! Willie Nelson was great(duh) his son lucas nelson was so awesome!!! The night ended perfectly! Nelson and about 30 others sang old gospel songs!
If it werent for the general party atmosphere and the permeating scent of dope in the air, i could have immagined myself in a much different place... After the show, I asked my sis if we could get a lil cleaning done and she said "sure what do u want to clean?" "I dont know", i told her... just then the lawn area came into view...

and I cried out ... I was devistated! Honestly, my first thought was :Im too tired to clean up all this... But then we focused a bit... I said just one section... The guy that worked there said they(about 100 people) sweep across the lawn and it gets done pretty fast. But none of it gets recycled... so we focused on recycleables...

this is as the 100 are sweeping... definitely power in numbers...

Then we got forced out and so we worked on finding our way out.. we asked a security officer how to get out, so he walked us out.. we walked past a white tent with tables and chars under it and he offers us some food that was still left from the farmers. we each got a sandwich, chips, cookie and organic banana. we thanked him and went on our way... The sandwich was great! I wasnt interested in the banana as it was VERRY green... after sleeping in the van, we got up and dressed and got gas in the van and such when I realised I was sick from hunger. I decided to try the banana... I expected it to be firm and bitter, but it was soft and sweet! it was the best banana I ever had!!! awesome!!! should teach me to form oppinions based on apperance!
I am very grateful for the experience, it was so truly awesome!... and although stuff is crazy at home because I was gone for 2 days...I am glad 2 B home too...
have a supy, dupy, duper day!
