oh, wow, ouch... Well, I hurt and it does not realy feel good:) I worked today and now my hands are red, swollen and sore. I have scratches and cuts all over my arms that are having a mild alergic reaction to whatever plant scratched and cut them. My goal is not to complain, but to express...
I work for this guy on occasion. I clean his house regularly. He is a property manager, so sometimes he will have a house that needs work done and I do it. I have never turned down a job offer and he knows I am willing to get in there and bust my hump for my pay. Plus, I can do the work on my own time which is necessary as paying someone to watch my 4 girls makes working pointless. Anyway, he was saying he needed to get his prperty along the lake weeded, but said it was an auful job. I said "so, I can do it, have you ever known a job I couldnt do yet?"(of course we are talking physical labor, not skilled) and he's like yea, but Deborah, thats a nasty job, you may find its more than you can do. Im thinkin, yeah right! I told him I would not turn down the job without at least trying.
So now here I am sore, tired, and yes, exhausted... but....not defeated!!! I am over half done, so ill finish tomorrow... And I found out that all the weeds Ive been pulling and small trees Ive been cutting with pruning shears are 3 years worth of growth! What?! Its no wonder I have bruises and blisters all over my hands! Ill take a pic tomorrow and post it... so anyway... hard at work... realy hoping to get my tickets to farm aid and road trip to st.louis with my sister! Its what keeps me goin on this manual labor...
